A limiting belief is a story you've been telling yourself, based on what others told you — or showed you — at some point in your past, that is simply not true for who you actually are. Limiting beliefs are survival strategies that outlived their purpose. At some point, they protected you. They helped you make sense of something that hurt. But somewhere along the way, they stopped being a shield and started being a cage.
